To open or not to open

Here's the thing. The employees (of the shop that I am handling) asked for a store closure today. I told them to write a letter for their request. They wrote, faxed, made follow-up calls. Then yesterday they told me that their request was approved (good for them, kami kasi sa office hindi declared na early holiday today). I saw the paper with the "OK" note with it plus the signature of the one who approved. It's settled then, closed for the day. Last night I received a text message from the manager telling me that the management was asking them to open the store today "kahit hanggang 4pm". What???! Why is this sudden change of mind? Kasi ba dahil hindi kami early holiday kaya they wanted to have this pattern also sa store? I wonder why. I let them be.

hello passport! I got it last Friday.

It has been one hell of a week for me... and it will still be this coming week. Naduduling na ako sa mga numbers. Isama mo pa ang mga pasaway na mga staff na kumukuha ng backpay nila. Tapos kung anu-ano pa ang ipinakiki-usap sa certificate of employment. Tapos may magtatanong pa na "Ma'am, ilan buwan ko po ba makukuha yung COE?" Argh! I answered "ano ba naman tanong iyan? ikaw itong nagpapabago ng COE tapos ganyan ang sinasabi mo. Gusto mo next year or in 2 years time mo balikan certificate mo." Hindi siya umimik. Dagdag ko pa "Kung hindi ka makakapag-antay, heto yung napirmahan na certificate, kunin mo" sagot niya, "tatawag na lang po ako ma'am"

After the valentine blues we went to the DFA for the scheduled encoding, signature and fingerprinting. We've accomplished everything in less than 30 mins. Will be back there by March for the releasing of the passport. Whoopee!

Pasaporte

Step one: Have my picture taken.

Dito pa lang kakainis na. Dapat ganito, dapat ganyan. Huwag kang magsmile na kita ang ngipin, Hair should be behind your ears. I had my picture taken twice. First, I smiled. It was ok. Then I called up DFA and asked a couple of things. Then I asked about the picture sabi nun nakausap ko, Ok lang naman yung kita yung teeth kaya lang it's safe to have your picture taken without showing your teeth as you smile (baka daw kasi mareject yung pic with teeth). Hay! so I had my picture taken again.

Step two: Fill-up the application form.

Step three: options: (1) dumating ng maaga (as in maaga) para mapasama sa quota. (2) magpatulong sa kakilala na doon nagtrabaho. option (3) have accredited agencies do the tiring things for you (for a higher price nga lang).

I opted for option 2. Minamadali nga kami kasi matransfer na siya sa singapore. Kaya bago siya umalis, sasamahan na niya kami.

Now, we're just waiting for the result nang ibinigay namin sa kanya na documents (if rejected or what yung pics and others papers). For appearance and payment na lang.
