I just wish that the company I am working for will be strong enough to survive the economic crisis that is happening worldwide. When we had our christmas party, we were really puzzled with the content of the speech of all the VIP's. We were all thinking that maybe there will be no salary increase for this year. And maybe the other perks like company outings, birthday lunch-outs, the annual bowling tournament will have to be set aside for now. Higpit sinturon talaga. Or maybe the amount given to each employee for their birthday bonus will be lessened... but then hindi siguro kasi may magbibirthday ng january 01, sigurado nakuha na niya yung birthday bonus niya...
I heard the the food business will be lucky this year. I do hope so. No more store anniversary dinners, and outings. I asked the management if we could discontinue the security service for the store since it is located between the exit and entrance of the mall. We also have to cut down manpower. I was informed that a couple of the staff has voiced thier intent of now renewing their contract for reasons of education. Good for them, sayang naman kasi kapag hindi nila tinapos ang pag-aaral nila.
Speaking of food business, I am scouring for a venue for my youngest's 7th birthday. She was asking for shakey's. I was thinking of Jollibee. Or maybe dito na lang sa bahay. Kaya lang nakakapagod kapag sa bahay. Pero less naman yung expense. Bahala na kung saan madala nun budget for the party.
Who says christmas is just for kids? One, make it two of the items listed in my Wish List was granted! First is the "A looonggg vacation". Will be reporting to work on January 5 (January 2 was declared as a Special Holiday by the government). The second is this...

Ang alam ko sa OVERTIME is in excess of 8 hours of work. 8 hours ba yung 9:40 – 6:30?????
Kakaiba. Sana bago nila silipin ang iba, tingnan muna nila ang sarili nila.

Later on, an officemate (O) asked for help with a withdrawal from a bank. One of my colleagues helped her since she knows the manager. O told us not to buy our snack because she will be buying it for us. Thus, siopao will be our snack with polvoron as pasalubong.
A few minutes after that, J came in the office and handed me 3 Mcdonald’s cheeseburger meal. One for me and for my colleagues here. Mahirap tangihan ang grasya diba? So we just thank C for it.

Is it the season of colds and cough? Because i have colds. It started last night when I was on my way home. Hoping that it is just another of those allergic reactions to the weather, i took decolgen for it. But then, when I woke up this morning, it became worse. Itchy and runny nose became partners. Sheez. I can't file for a leave of absence because i have deadlines to attend to. It has been a year or two since I had colds. I guess my immune system is on it's lowest point. Blame it for lack of sleep, stress and the weather.
Must keep myself awake. Must have a hot soup. Must finish everything today so that I could go on leave tomorrow to rest.

I have found a new friend for my face. Godiva. Facial Wash and Vitamin C Serum. Try it. It might be compatible with your skin type too.

The day started with the usual.
Had lunch then back to updating of books.
Then in the afternoon, I craved for sweet corn. I asked an errand girl to buy one for me.
I went to the bank to do last minute transactions. Because i hate it when i have to do it on a Monday.
When I got back, a two-piece chicken (mcdonalds) was on my desk. What do you do to that two-piece chicken meal? Eat it of course! (hayaan na muna ang allergies.) While I was savoring the chicken, we were asked to go to the office beside us. They have Pizza! Yummy! I had a slice!
Now I am stuffed. I need to walk to burn those calories from the pizza and chicken. Must take anti-allergies.
Wishing everyday is a Friday.

Came from my P&S camera. This wasn't the original picture. Did some "adjustments" for the end result.

My eldest daughter is now officially a volleyball team varsity member! After a series of try-outs, she was chosen to be part of the team. She is the only 4th grader to be part of the elementary department's varsity team. I am so proud of her.
She once asked me (being a former varsitarian for another school) what number do I use for my uniform. I told her 19. So, 19 it is for her number.
My lunch. Courtesy of Makati Skyline.
Took a picture of this fishpond in the area.
Bowling will never be as fun without these guys... Until next year!

MommyBa tagged me to do something a little bit unique. Here goes...
* 1.Determine your birthday month and get a word that rhymes with it or you can affix to it. Caps lock your birth month (ex: MAYday! JUNE dune, APRILicious, JULYvely, AUGUST pocus, parched MARCH…). Be unique.
* 2.Your birth month plus the word affixed or rhymed shall become the tag’s title in your case.
* 3.Get your birthday and add the digits involved. Example, if your birthday falls on the 25th of July, add 2 and 5 you get 7.
* 4.Whatever is the sum, write a list of the MATERIAL gifts you wish to receive, the number of which shall correspond to the sum of your birthday. For example, applying the case above (in rule number 3), you will write seven (7) things you wish to receive.

I don't know if it's just me or what. I am losing weight. I can see it in my face. When I cup my face, i don't feel that "chubby" cheeks anymore. I can see a little bit of my cheek bones. My maong skirt, doesn't "fit" anymore, I could place a finger or two in between my jeans and skin. I probably could place my whole hand inside. People are beginning to notice it too. They would greet me with "bakit pumapayat ka?" I would just give them a smile and say, "akala nyo lang yun"
I have always dream of losing weight. Now it is happening, all I have to do is it to tone my muscles to have a body like that in the picture! Off to my room to do a little bit of stretching and jogging! :)

I hardly had any sleep the past night. I don’t know why. I am not thinking of anything or anyone. I just wanted to get some sleep.
I have a game in the afternoon so I wanted to be energized with the sleep. Sheez! I tried counting sheep (true! I even put a fence in which the sheep has to jump, hehehe), opened the television, prayed again….Finally, I was able to shut my eyes and go into wonderland… alas! My alarm went on, it’s already 4:30am! and I was just entering into wonderland! This afternoon, I need endurance and stamina for the game. I already bought an energy drink and I do hope that I will be enough to last me the 3 games that we will be having later. For now, I will try to get some zzz’s
It's the beginning of yet another bowling tournament. The number of teams participating this year has been reduced to 9. What happens now is that there will be a "practice day" for each team during the tournament (June 4 - August 1). My team had our "practice day" during the opening ceremony. Last Friday we beat our opponent, 5-0. Whoopee! The color of this year's uniform is green. It's the color of an avocado. I didn't like the shade of green that they used for our shirts. Plus, I have to have the size of the shirt changed. From small to medium. No, i didn't gain weight. The fitting on the sides are OK. But the ones in the shoulder areas... well, it's quite uncomfortable for me. The kind of cloth that they used is different from the ones that we have been using for the past 9 years. They didn't bring any samples of it. Many of us are complaining about the fitting of the shirt. Though only 2 of use dared to have it changed. Why? Because if you have it changed, the cost of it will not be shouldered anymore by the company. I opted to pay for it. I do not want to play and feel uncomfortable with what I am wearing.

This is what my doctor (a family frined doctor) told me about a month ago about the condition of my skin. Tiny rashes appear on my arms, thighs and back. It's very itchy when: (1) i'm exposed to the sun for a long period of time, (2) for that exposure, perspiration occurs, (3) i eat food like chicken, peanuts, chocolates, seafoods, bagoong, eggs. My doctor told me (as per her prescription) to take Virlix for the itchiness, then apply Dermovate for the rashes. Use Oilatum as my soap. It's still the same.
Then I went to a dermatologist, still the same diagnosis. Paid Php 1,500 for the cream and lotion (to be used for 2 weeks), and tablets (to be taken for 1 week). For the soap, I was asked to use Dove extra sensitive. Geez! She told me that I have to come back after a week. I didn't come back. Silly me. To think that the clinic is just within the mall! Hehe.
Two weeks had passed. I used our company health card and went to a satellite clinic of Medical City. I was asked the same questions by the dermatologist. Again, i have buy from her the cream that I have to apply to my skin and the tablet that I have to take. Paid around Php 500 for it. Free consultation because the health card will pay for it. And I was told to be back after a week. Geez!
When you get to feel my skin (arms, thighs and back) it's not as smooth as a baby's skin. It's rough because of the rashes. I feel quite embarrassed. I do hope that the rashes would disappear. Help!

May 31 marks the annual fiesta of the village.
There was the unveiling of the proposed prayer garden.
Then the Bigantes Festival. It is a giant size of Mary and Elizabeth. They will be going around the village, knocking on the doors. Saying a prayer and singing.
In the afternoon, a street dance and awarding of winners for the sportsfest. Teatro of different parishes joined in the street dancing. It was fun.
Finally a procession was held in honor of our Lady of Visitation.

Just sharing what my computer desktop wallpaper looks like. Not a messy desktop. Those icons are the important things that I am using.
I wish the rains will stop. It's hard to get a cab. Streets are flooded. And I have to go to work tomorrow. Sigh :((
I am in the process of changing my template.
The company bowling tournament will start in just a few weeks. Same team with same teammates. One goal: To WIN!

A month ago, the sister of my grandmother (she's staying with us before that incident) gave my lacoste rubber shoes to her daughter-in-law. what?! Yes, she gave it without asking me kung ipamimigay ko na ba iyon.
