Wish List

on Sunday, November 16, 2008

It's the time of the year wherein employees are rich from receiving their monetary benefits, from 13th month pay to leave conversion and to bonuses and other cash gifts. With money at hand, most of us are thinking of what we would do with it.

Here's my wish list:

1. DSLR camera
2. Laptop
3. New mobile phone
4. a loooonnnggg vacation in a far-away land

But then, most probably i will end up just saving the money. Why? Manghihinayang ako gastusin yun pinaghirapan ko. Months before i get hold of those monetary benefits, i window-shop, surf the net and do research on the things that I like. And when I have decided to buy, my frugal side will tell me not to buy it and I end up following it. As of this writing, i am still undecided on whether to give in to my splurge urge or not.

Pissed off!

on Friday, November 07, 2008

That is what I am feeling right now. I am pissed because Officemate "O" was asking our timekeeper (T) with regards to the last time we were allowed to go home early (half day) kasi nga All Saint’s day the following day. Umuwi ako ng mas maaga (before 2:30). This has been a tradition in our office na kapag management ang nagpauwi sa amin ng maaga, we could go home earlier than the 2:30 (say 30 mins before that). Acceptable yun kasi nga matrapik na at Holiday pa the following day.

Ang alam ko sa OVERTIME is in excess of 8 hours of work. 8 hours ba yung 9:40 – 6:30?????

Kakaiba. Sana bago nila silipin ang iba, tingnan muna nila ang sarili nila.

Gluttony part 2

on Thursday, October 16, 2008

It has been a day after my leave and as I reported for work, I was greeted by a janitress (J) and asked me what I wanted for my snack because the maternity reimbursement that I computed for her colleague (C) was already released (C wanted J to ask me). I told her not to buy anything because C will be needing the money for her baby.

Later on, an officemate (O) asked for help with a withdrawal from a bank. One of my colleagues helped her since she knows the manager. O told us not to buy our snack because she will be buying it for us. Thus, siopao will be our snack with polvoron as pasalubong.

A few minutes after that, J came in the office and handed me 3 Mcdonald’s cheeseburger meal. One for me and for my colleagues here. Mahirap tangihan ang grasya diba? So we just thank C for it.

I ate the cheeseburger. I gave the fries to O because my doctor adviced me to stay away from it together with other yummy stuff. With the siopao and polvoron, i will bring it home as pasalubong for my kids.

Colds

on Tuesday, October 14, 2008

Is it the season of colds and cough? Because i have colds. It started last night when I was on my way home. Hoping that it is just another of those allergic reactions to the weather, i took decolgen for it. But then, when I woke up this morning, it became worse. Itchy and runny nose became partners. Sheez. I can't file for a leave of absence because i have deadlines to attend to.

It has been a year or two since I had colds. I guess my immune system is on it's lowest point. Blame it for lack of sleep, stress and the weather.

Must keep myself awake. Must have a hot soup. Must finish everything today so that I could go on leave tomorrow to rest.

30

on Wednesday, October 08, 2008

30. That's not my age. 30 is the number of minutes it takes me to do everything for my face when I arrive at the office. Wash the face, apply moisturizer followed by sun block, then press powder, lip balm and finally lipstick. I do not apply any make-up aside from the lipstick. I have sensitive skin. That is why I am very choosy when it comes to products that I have to use for my face otherwise I will end up throwing or giving it away.

I have found a new friend for my face. Godiva. Facial Wash and Vitamin C Serum. Try it. It might be compatible with your skin type too.
