Fiesta!

May 31 marks the annual fiesta of the village.

It started with a Holy Mass with Bishop Tobias.

There was the unveiling of the proposed prayer garden.

Then the Bigantes Festival. It is a giant size of Mary and Elizabeth. They will be going around the village, knocking on the doors. Saying a prayer and singing.

In the afternoon, a street dance and awarding of winners for the sportsfest. Teatro of different parishes joined in the street dancing. It was fun.

Finally a procession was held in honor of our Lady of Visitation.

memories

I was looking for old photos in my room when I came across a box containing these. There are still alot of stuff beneath.

Trash? nah. Memories of my teenage life. Letters from a dear friend (dated 1995 pa!), a cousin, an ex, college barkada. A letter that was not mailed for a friend. My HS ID, brochure from EK. I started to read the letter and it made me think of the past. Nakakatuwa.

A month ago, the sister of my grandmother (she's staying with us before that incident) gave my lacoste rubber shoes to her daughter-in-law. what?! Yes, she gave it without asking me kung ipamimigay ko na ba iyon. E yung sintas nun nasa closet ko pa. Pinalabhan ko kasi nga medyo madumi. Napakasama ng loob ko kasi may sentimental value iyon. Hay, ano pa ba ang magagawa ko? alangan naman kunin ko pa.

So today i went to the mall and bought myself this... chuck taylor. Next time yung brown naman, then yung red, then yung pink, then yung white... hahaha

the holy week

Maundy Thursday. Manila Ocean Park, here we come! Big Mistake! Napakaraming tao, It's as if all of us thought that going there on a Holy Thursday is a good idea. Paid for almost 2K for about 30mins of walking... and i wasn't able to hold the star fish... and i wasn't able to feed the shark (haha!) and try the fish spa (waiting pa daw for 20mins).

Easter Sunday. The weather is unbearable. Time to go the beach... or have an inflatable pool.

April Fool's - Palm Sunday

Happy April Fool's Day everyone!

Yngat, yngat tayo ngayon... Ako, heto at nagpapahinga para sa graduation ng aking unico hijo mamayang hapon... Kailangan maayos ang lola kasi aakyat ako ng stage para magpin ng kanyang Merit Award.

Kagabi, habang kumakain ang aking anak na lalaki. Napunta kami sa topic ng graduation nila. Minention niya yung mga classmates niya na may mga awards din... May sablay nga lang siya...

Son: Ma, si ____ award niya, Most @#!lP (di ko maintindihan kasi may food pa ang bibig niya)
Me: ano? anak, ubusin mo muna yung pagkain diyan sa bibig mo
Son: (after niya lunukin) Most ...(ganun pa din)...
Me: Most Industrious?
Son: hindi! Most.... (ganun pa din) Yung mahilig magbigay...
Me: (Tiningnan yung Programme nila) ah. Most Generous! Asus! (yun pala ang generous para sa kanya, yung mahilig mamigay)
