Feeling

on Saturday, June 28, 2008

I don't know if it's just me or what. I am losing weight. I can see it in my face. When I cup my face, i don't feel that "chubby" cheeks anymore. I can see a little bit of my cheek bones. My maong skirt, doesn't "fit" anymore, I could place a finger or two in between my jeans and skin. I probably could place my whole hand inside. People are beginning to notice it too. They would greet me with "bakit pumapayat ka?" I would just give them a smile and say, "akala nyo lang yun"

I became conscious of the content of the food that I have to eat. Could you just imagine the many finger-licking things that I have to forgo because of my allergic reactions with it. Chocolates, nuts, bagoong, mango, chicken, fish, seafoods, cabbage, coffee, tea, milk, potato, tomato, beans, eggs and so many more.

I have always dream of losing weight. Now it is happening, all I have to do is it to tone my muscles to have a body like that in the picture! Off to my room to do a little bit of stretching and jogging! :)

Sleep

on Friday, June 27, 2008

I hardly had any sleep the past night. I don’t know why. I am not thinking of anything or anyone. I just wanted to get some sleep.

I have a game in the afternoon so I wanted to be energized with the sleep. Sheez! I tried counting sheep (true! I even put a fence in which the sheep has to jump, hehehe), opened the television, prayed again….Finally, I was able to shut my eyes and go into wonderland… alas! My alarm went on, it’s already 4:30am! and I was just entering into wonderland!

This afternoon, I need endurance and stamina for the game. I already bought an energy drink and I do hope that I will be enough to last me the 3 games that we will be having later. For now, I will try to get some zzz’s

Green

on Monday, June 16, 2008

It's the beginning of yet another bowling tournament. The number of teams participating this year has been reduced to 9. What happens now is that there will be a "practice day" for each team during the tournament (June 4 - August 1). My team had our "practice day" during the opening ceremony. Last Friday we beat our opponent, 5-0. Whoopee!

The color of this year's uniform is green. It's the color of an avocado. I didn't like the shade of green that they used for our shirts. Plus, I have to have the size of the shirt changed. From small to medium. No, i didn't gain weight. The fitting on the sides are OK. But the ones in the shoulder areas... well, it's quite uncomfortable for me. The kind of cloth that they used is different from the ones that we have been using for the past 9 years. They didn't bring any samples of it. Many of us are complaining about the fitting of the shirt. Though only 2 of use dared to have it changed. Why? Because if you have it changed, the cost of it will not be shouldered anymore by the company. I opted to pay for it. I do not want to play and feel uncomfortable with what I am wearing.

i went back

on Sunday, June 15, 2008

OK. I went back to see my dermatologist after a week. She said the my skin is highly sensitive.

What to avoid:
(1) Sun exposure or places wherein there isn't enough airconditioning unit that would have me perspire heavily (it will trigger the itchy feeling). Paano na lang ang gym ko sa office? Wala kaya airconditioning unit dun. Wah! Libre pa naman.
(2) The usual NO chicken, eggs, chocolates, nuts, seafoods for a couple of weeks.

What to use:
(1) Cetaphil bar or Oilatum for my soap
(2) Cetaphil lotion
(3) Dermasone cream (for the rashes, if they appear)
(3) Cetrizin (for the itching part)

My airconditioning unit at home is now open almost 24/7 because of my rashes. Sheez! And i am complaining about the high cost of electricity!

Rain! Rain! please come now!

Allergy

Atopic Dermatitis. Better known as skin asthma.

This is what my doctor (a family frined doctor) told me about a month ago about the condition of my skin. Tiny rashes appear on my arms, thighs and back. It's very itchy when: (1) i'm exposed to the sun for a long period of time, (2) for that exposure, perspiration occurs, (3) i eat food like chicken, peanuts, chocolates, seafoods, bagoong, eggs. My doctor told me (as per her prescription) to take Virlix for the itchiness, then apply Dermovate for the rashes. Use Oilatum as my soap. It's still the same.

Then I went to a dermatologist, still the same diagnosis. Paid Php 1,500 for the cream and lotion (to be used for 2 weeks), and tablets (to be taken for 1 week). For the soap, I was asked to use Dove extra sensitive. Geez! She told me that I have to come back after a week. I didn't come back. Silly me. To think that the clinic is just within the mall! Hehe.

Two weeks had passed. I used our company health card and went to a satellite clinic of Medical City. I was asked the same questions by the dermatologist. Again, i have buy from her the cream that I have to apply to my skin and the tablet that I have to take. Paid around Php 500 for it. Free consultation because the health card will pay for it. And I was told to be back after a week. Geez!

When you get to feel my skin (arms, thighs and back) it's not as smooth as a baby's skin. It's rough because of the rashes. I feel quite embarrassed. I do hope that the rashes would disappear. Help!
